Fall Festival Weekend 2019

This year for Fall Festival there is some added energy and excitement with all the activities surrounding the whole weekend. Teeing things off beginning on Friday the 27th is a golf coupon special at the Harrington Golf & Country Club. You may find these coupons on the Harrington website and at local businesses. Later that morning there is the Opera House rummage from 10am – 2pm as well as 9am – 3pm on Saturday the 28th. Tours will also be going on that Saturday at the Opera House from 9am – Noon as well as at Hotel Lincoln, the Electric Hotel from 9am to 3pm. To cap off the Friday evening, a fundraising event for the new Town Square project will be put on from 6pm – l0pm at the corner of 3rd and Willis St. Harrington alum and 99.9 Coyote Country Spokane radio host Kevin James has donated his special skills to DJ the Street Dance. This fundraiser is free to attend and family friendly with a small farmers market good food, vendors, a beer garden and much more. Information on how you can donate to the Town Square project will be available, with engraved paver bricks being sold as well as the trees and benches going into the Town Square. Keep in mind that all funds raised will go towards a matching $30,000 grant received from the Innovia Foundation out of Spokane, a 501c3 charitable organization. Wake up early on Saturday morning to enjoy and support the pancake feed from 8am – 10am at Memorial Hall, sponsored by the Harrington FFA. Next is the Huff ‘n’ Puff Fun Run jumping off at 9am, put on by the Harrington FBLA. Come out and cheer the participants on as they start at the corner of 3rd and Glover St. Making a comeback this year is the Harrington Mudfest put on by the Lincoln County 4×4 club and people are ecstatic about this! Racing starts at 9am behind the school with a
break at 11 am for the parade. Speaking of the parade … come visit downtown to see all the entries beginning at 11 am. Thank you to the Parade coordinator Linda Mielke and our own Fire District #6 for putting the parade on.
Immediately after the parade at 11:30, the Lions Club BBQ at the City Park begins. To go along with the BBQ, they put on a raffle, bingo, games and community organization booths to go along with local vendors selling various items. Across the street from the Mudfest the Chamber of Commerce hosts a beer garden. Stop by and enjoy the view of the races while you have a refreshing adult beverage. After all the fun is over at the City Park, the Studebaker Garage is putting on its 2nd annual Pinewood Derby from 4-6pm. stop by the shop in downtown Harrington to check it out. Capping off the day is an Alumni dinner at the Harrington school beginning at 5pm, followed by a No-Host Social Hour up at the clubhouse of the Harrington Golf & Country Club. Friendly reminder ….. on Sunday the golf course is closed until 3pm for a tournament. After that the course opens back up and the golf coupons may be used.
